I am a 3D artist specializing in creating asset props and character models. I have an educational background in art, including studies in portraiture and artistic anatomy, as well as skills in sketch drawing and painting.
I am skilled in both sculpting and hard surface modeling, two distinct areas of 3D modeling that require different techniques and approaches. In my work, I am able to utilize both techniques to achieve my vision. Retopologizing high-poly models is also enjoyable for me because it presents a puzzle-like challenge to solve. My main focus in 3D graphics is to recreate classic video game and movie assets with modern quality while preserving their original artistry.
My interest in computer graphics took root the moment I connected to the internet for the first time, back in 2008.
My first exposure to computer graphics was a video on creating lightsaber effects in Adobe After Effects from VideoCopilot.net, a website that I regularly visited in those days for its wonderful motion graphics and special effects tutorials. To this day, the website's owner, Andrew Kramer, remains an inspiration for me.
I also draw inspiration for my work from my past experience in the modding scene, where I created visual mods for games such as Doom3 and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.
My vision as an artist is to bring the timeless charm of classic video games into the modern era through my 3D modeling. I aim to capture the essence of these beloved games and infuse it with cutting-edge graphical techniques to create stunning models that truly do justice to their source material. My ultimate goal is to develop a polished workflow that will allow me to fully realize this vision and produce works that both pay homage to the past and showcase the possibilities of the present.
